At the conclusion of grand finale held at Auditorium Jorge Emilio Jaar, USAP, Honduras, April Tobie has been crowned as Miss Universe Honduras 2017. She will now represent her country Honduras in the 66th edition of Miss Universe 2017 to be held later in this year.
At the same event, Olga Avila, Shirle Calix, Cecilia Amador and Scarleth Contreras were titled as First, Second, Third and Fourth runners up respectively.
April is 21 years old and stands at a height of 180 cm. She also worked as a model for West Indies Wear. April succeeded last year’s winner, Sirey Moran and bested nineteen other finalists to win the coveted title.
With the modelling, she excels in studies as well. Just after the win, her friends congratulated her on this marvellous victory by posting a picture on Facebook, “I'm so proud of you! Oh My God! At home, we are screaming! I knew it!”
San Pedro Sula hosted this important event where the elegance, beauty and charisma of the twenty candidates captivated the guests in the tenth edition of Miss Universe Honduras 2017. The winners were adjudged on the basis of their catwalk, talent and personality.
The other finalists are Vanessa Araujo, Raquel Rodriguez, Shaney Lopez, Nahely Orellana, Sofia Matute, Jazmin Ruiz, Anahi Castillo, María José Thompson, Keily Ponce, Jazmin Nuñez, Andrea Calix, Monica Lopez, Estefany Montoya, Jenmy Amaya, Kimberlyn Jimenez.
Honduras has never won the title of Miss Universe so this year April Tobie has the chance to win the crown for her country.
