The finale of Miss Finland 2017 (Miss Suomi 2017) is scheduled to take place on 1st October 2017 and the winner will then represent Finland in the Miss Universe 2017 competition scheduled to be held later in this year. The first runner-up will represent Finland in the Miss World 2017 pageant to be held on 18th November 2017 and the second runner-up will represent Finland in the Miss International 2017 pageant to be held on 14th November 2017.
Shirly Karvinen Miss Universe Finland 2016, Heta Sallinen Miss World Finland 2016 and Emilia Seppänen Miss International Finland 2016 will officially crown their respective successors at the event.

Finland has till date won two Miss Universe, one Miss World, and one Miss International title.
Armi Kuusela of Finland won the first ever edition of Miss Universe held on June 28' 1952. She was just 17 when she was crowned Miss Universe 1952. Finland won its second Miss Universe title after a gap of 23 years when 19-years old Anne Marie Pohtamo was crowned Miss Universe 1975 on July 19' 1975. This was the last Miss Universe title won by Finland till date.
