Adline started her live by wishing everyone a very Happy Environment Day and introduced the queen Meher by giving a wonderful introduction about how much she has inspired her and thousands of girls like her to be strong, confident, and focused. Adline greeted Meher by stating that it’s an honour for her to be able to talk to someone who has inspired so many people and still is trying to do so. Adline asked Meher that whether she always wanted to be Miss India or she once decided to participate and represent the country? Did she had to convince her parents for that because when Meher became Miss India, the Indian society didn’t accept the thought of fashion or beauty pageants. To which Meher answered that it wasn’t very difficult for her convince her parents because she was already a dancer and had performed on-stage. She also mentioned that just like every other girl, she also dreamt of being a beauty queen but didn’t believe that she can win.

Adline further asked about the beauty pageants during the 60’s time and what prizes they use to get after winning. To which Meher jokingly said, “If you’re talking about Miss India then, nothing. It was just a ticket to Miami, Florida for the contest and one model cycle from the sponsored brand. The representative of India at Miss Universe 2020 Adline who is also preparing herself for the competition asked the first Miss India Meher about her preparation during that time. Meher replied that since it was the first pageant, neither did the Miss Femina Organization knew how to prepare nor did she. So, it was all thinking on the feet and going with the guts; they had prepared everything including clothes, makeup, accessories all by themselves. She remembered that she had bought a lot of salwar kameez, sarees, because she feels that when you wear a saree, you stand out from the crowd.

The two spoke about the preparation for the competition today and then to which Meher stated that there is a lot of difference between the preparation. This is because nowadays the representatives have someone to look up to but she didn’t have anyone to look up to. The two beautiful queens also spoke about the changing dynamics of the fashion culture in India along with the progressive culture. After talking about the changes that the fashion in India has changed, Adline and Meher spoke some more about how she should prepare for the Miss Universe 2020.
