Miss Universe organization, in the presence of the reigning Miss Universe batch as well as MUO owner Anne Jakrajutatip, held the grand launch of Miss Universe Indonesia after Puteri Indonesia lost the franchise of Miss Universe amidst the franchise bidding wars.

The national organization will be run by Poppy Capellaa who was present at the grand launch as well. The organization also took to their official social media as they wrote, “The Grand Launching of Miss Universe Indonesia Press Conference. Thank you to the media partners, and all those involved for the success of today's event. Miss Universe Indonesia is ready to bring big changes to the world of Pageant Indonesia.”

Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, Andreina Martinez 2nd Runner-up and Gabriela Dos Santos (Top 5) all graced the grand launch with their presence. This is R'Bonney's second visit to Indonesia this month. She was earlier in Lombok for a commercial shoot before heading to Bangkok, Thailand to begin her official Asian tour with her Miss Universe 2022 sisters.

Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd Miss Universe, is scheduled to be held on late 2023 in El Salvador. Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
