Miss Universe Indonesia organization, under Capella Swastika Karya and national director Poppy Capella, officially revealed the Shimmering Hope crown on 29th May 2023 in Jakarta. This will be the first year that the representative from Indonesia will be selected from a separate organization, instead of Puteri Indonesia.

Crafted by Indonesian gold jewellery maker UBS Gold, the new masterpiece crown will be awarded to the winner of Miss Universe Indonesia 2023. The date and venue of the finale is yet to be announced.

The organization took to their official social media to as they wrote, “This is The Shimmering Hope Crown of Miss Universe Indonesia. This crown is crafted to represent a vision of leadership that brings together people from different backgrounds and perspectives under a common symbol. Those who wear the crown are also called to celebrate diversity and to work towards greater unity and cooperation among all members of society.”

The winner of the national organization will represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2023. Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd Miss Universe, will be held in 2023 in El Salvador. Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
