After a gap of one year Kenya is ready to send its envoy to the Miss Universe 2016 beauty pageant. Mary Esther Were won the coveted title of Miss Universe Kenya 2016 in the final event on Sunday, 11th December at The Terrace, Kenya.

The gorgeous delegate was one of the 16 contestants vying for the crown of Miss Universe Kenya 2016. She is really happy to get the right to represent her country at one of the upcoming top five beauty pageants in the world.
Miss Universe Kenya is the national beauty pageant of the country, held each year. The winner of the contest represents Kenya at one of the most reputable pageants, Miss Universe. Last year, Kenya did not send any ambassador to the beauty pageant.

This year, everyone has high hopes with Mary Esther Were a.k.a. Scarlet Were. The beauty will be contesting with worldwide delegates for the title of Miss Universe beauty pageant on 30th January’ 2017 in Manila, Philippines, where Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach will pass on her crown to her successor.
