The organization of Miss Universe Malta hosted the coronation ceremony for Miss Universe Malta 2021 on 17th September 2021 at The Hilton Malta Conference Centre, St. Julian’s, Malta, where delegates from all over the country competed for the national crown and a chance to represent Malta at Miss Universe 2021. At the end of the event, Jade Cini was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Miss Universe Malta 2020 Anthea Zammit for the title

Jade Cini from Valletta, is a 26 year-old primary school teacher with a passion for education and travelling. She has been modelling since she was 3 years old. Beauty pageants have given her the confidence required to have a career and enter other fields of dancing, singing and acting. It has also helped her stay resilient when faced with bullying, failures and criticism.

Miss Universe Malta 2021 Jade Cini’s court includes –

First runner-up: Michela Galea from Mgarr

Second runner-up: Maxine Formosa from St. Julians

Third runner-up: Charlotte Stivala from Gharghur

Fourth runner-up: Meltem Kirbas from Gzira

After being crowned as Miss Universe Malta 2021, Jade took to her social media as she wrote, “She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings! I am ready for whatever destiny has aligned for me. If my faith is to be your next Miss Universe Malta 2021 I will carry it with pride, grace and dignity for that is who I am. Thank you to everyone standing behind me.”

Previously she has shared, “Last year I was a victim of domestic violence, but today I’m a proud survivor. I would like to use this platform as a voice for all the women out there suffering in silence and I’d like to tell them to never settle for anything less than they deserve.” Having done several international pageant, including Miss Model of the World 2014, Best Model of the World 2015, Miss Intercontinental 2016 and Top Model of the World 2016, Miss Universe has always been Jade’s dream.

Jade worked hard on her finale gown too with Filipino designer Rian Fernandez as she wore a stunning golden gown completely complimenting the crown and the sash. Her gown was inspired by the charm of the golden sunrise of the seaport capital of Malta, the city of Valletta.

Miss Universe Malta 2020 Anthea Zammit represented Malta at Miss Universe 2020, earlier this year. She was highly appreciated for her performance throughout the competition but unfortunately couldn’t make it to the top positions. For the 70th edition of Miss Universe, Jade Cini will represent Malta in Israel this December.

Congratulations queen!
