At the grand coronation night of Miss Universe Myanmar 2019 held tonight at Novotel Max Hotel, Yangon, Swe Zin Htet was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Myanmar in Miss Universe 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Myanmar 2018 Hnin Thway Yu Aung. This was the 7th edition of the national contest.

Swe Zin Htet represented Hpa-an province at the pageant and performed with utter sincerity and dedication. Not new to the pageantry, she was also the titleholder of Miss Supranational Myanmar 2016 and represented Myanmar in Miss Supranational 2016 where she placed in Top 10. With her experience and a new crown this time, Swe Zin will for sure be a force to be reckoned with at the international platform. Swe Zin was also a part of our Top 10 favourites for the crown.

The newly crowned queen’s court included –

First Runner-Up/ Miss Grand Myanmar 2019 – Hmwe Thet (Myeik)

Second Runner-Up/ Miss Intercontinental Myanmar 2019 – Htet Thiri Zaw (Mandalay)

Third Runner-Up/ Face of Beauty Myanmar 2019 – Htun Palal Yadanar (Minbu)

Fourth Runner-Up/ World Beauty Queen Myanmar 2019 – Linn Htet Htet Kyaw (Myitkyina)

Fifth Runner-Up – Su Su Sandy (Pathein)

The national finale was hosted by Kyaw Htet Aung. Nay Shwe Thway Aung also performed at the finale and entertained the audience. Eaint Thet Hmue Miss United Continents Myanmar 2018, Thet Hnin Swe Miss Universe Magway 2018 and May Myat Noe Khin Miss Universe Loi Kaw 2017 also gave a special performance.

Also at the finale, other than the crowned queens, Top 13 included Ni Lar (Dawei), Ah Lum Put (Hpakant), Kyawt Kyawt Khaing (Mawlamyine) 2019, Mary Htang Htang (Muse), Thae Nanda Su (Myawaddy), Moe ThinZar Lwin (Naypyitaw) and No Noe Kay (Western Yangon).

Along with the winning titles, special awards were also presented to the deserving contestants –

Miss Healthy Skin – No Noe Kay (West Yangon)

Best in Swimsuit – Swe Zin Htet (Hpa-an)

Miss Photogenic – Hmwe Thet (Myeik)

Best in Talent was awarded to No Noe K (Yangon - West) and 1st Runner-up was adjudged to Thae Nanda Su (Myawaddy) while 2nd Runner-up was awarded to Kay Kay Phyo (Taungoo)

Best in National Costume was awarded to Mi Mi Zin (Monywa) while the Top 5 in national costume included Swe Zin Htet (Hpa-an), Mary Htang Htang (Muse), Su Su Sandy (Pathein) and Su Latt Nwe (Tachileik). The People's Choice award went to Thattant Shwe Yi Nann (Taunggyi).
