Up and Close live session with Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma

Anshika Sharma was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2020 on 30th December 2020; the first edition of Miss Universe Nepal under the directorship of Nagma Shrestha. She was crowned by the director herself and succeeded Miss Universe Nepal 2019 Pradeepta Adhikari to represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2020.

In a very short span of time, Anshika has emerged as one of the strongest contenders for the title of Miss Universe as she is focusing on preparing herself for the finale. The diva has been active on social media as well to interact with her fans and followers and keeping the active social media in mind, Anshika took to her social media live session to let her followers know more about her as she answered some of the questions asked by the fans themselves.

 

 

The diva started by mentioning about her week and stated that she is preparing with her team on her hair and makeup, communication, walk on-stage, etc. She started by answering the question that asked her that if money was not an issue, what would be her dream vacation and Anshika answered, “Nepal. Nepal is my home and I have a different connection with it and I feel like I didn’t really get the chance to explore Nepal. So, my vacation to go to would be Nepal.” The next question asked the queen about the difference between the young Anshika and Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika; the queen answered by mentioning that she hasn’t changed a lot but grown as a person but the learnings and values are the same. She added that young Anshika is a person who would do things for herself but now as a titleholder and growing up she feels like understanding and connecting with people on a deeper level.

One of the followers asked Anshika about her plans to stay in Nepal after her reign to which she replied by stating that she doesn’t have a concrete plan as of now because she is not sure of what will happen in future but she is deeply connected with the country. She added that since her family also lives in Nepal, she’d prefer staying in Nepal and find opportunities or create one but right now she is focusing on winning the title for Nepal. Anshika was also asked if she is a tea person or coffee to which she laughed and replied that she is a tea person as she cannot start her day without a cup of tea.

 

 

The diva was asked about her biggest fear and she replied that it is not to be able to live upto her own expectations as she expects a lot from herself and sets goals and milestones. She added that she is an ambitious girl who comes from a lot of challenges and not getting the credit for the work she has done is her greatest fear but she understands how to tackle her fear now. She was asked about the reason why she chose to participate at Miss Universe Nepal 2020, to which she replied, “I have been a follower of Miss Universe since her teens and have been following a lot of beauty queens. I have seen myself representing Nepal at the international stage”.

Anshika answered a bunch of questions and explained how is she preparing for the competition and some deep insights about her advocacy and how is she planning to take things further. She adds that as a titleholder she feels like she has a responsibility to do more and she wants to do more as a human for the people so, she is planning to spread her help in other parts of Nepal too.
