The organization of Miss Universe Nepal is all set to begin its new and improvised journey with a virtual pageant under the direction of Former Miss Nepal Nagma Shreshta. According to the new and improvised changes, the competition would be an all in-app beauty pageant where the aspiring candidates can apply via the new application developed by the organization which is going to be available from 8th October 2020. More updates on the competition will be revealed by the organization once the application is live.
The finalists will be selected via application itself and after the registration and selection, and the divas will go through an online training and workshops for the pageant while the finale even will also be live-streamed on the app as well. The winner of the competition will succeed Miss Universe Nepal 2019 Pradeepta Adhikari at the end of the event finale.
While the list of delegates is yet to be announced, there are a few divas who are on all the wish lists to compete at Miss Universe Nepal 2020 and Shikshya Sangroula is one of them. This Nepali beauty has caught everyone’s attention with her beauty and grace.
Hailing from Biratnagar, Shikshya is 24-years-old and stands 168 cm tall and has earner her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Kathmandu University. The diva has been working as a professional model since 2013. She seems like a potential candidate who can not only represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2020 stage but also mark her standing at the international beauty pageant world.
The diva is not new to the world of pageantry as she has been a part of various fashion shows in Nepal such as TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2016, Classic Diamond TPJFS Season 4, she also worked as a TV Host for Kantipur and Hosted Liril Fresh Face season 3 and 4. She was also a participant at Miss Nepal 2018 where she was highly appreciated for her performance but unfortunately couldn’t make it to the top positions.
Shikshya also works as a voice-over artist and has been a part of more than a dozen of advertisements and has been appreciated with the people she has worked till date. She describes that a beauty queen should have 3Cs; confidence within themselves to carry their purpose further, compassion to serve selflessly to mankind, and consistency to be beautiful not just for a year but lifelong and she believes she has all of them. She is proud of her culture and mostly the Dashain and Tihar brings everyone together once a year to receive the blessings of our elders and it brings joy in everyone’s family.
The diva who made herself a name in Nepal has caught the attention of pageant fanatics for the Miss Universe Nepal 2020 title and if she decides to participate, she can be a strong contender for the title. She is experienced and has worked with people and is flexible with working with people and has worked alone and conquered it.
The diva wishes for peace and happiness in the world for everyone and if she participates, she might use the platform to carry on with the advocacy. She has always advocated for the women empowerment and has shared few stories on acid-attack survivor in Nepal on her social media by asking them to share theirs. She has shared her own self-story about how she fought with depression that followed her trauma that came after someone tried to harass her and threatened her with acid. She bravely shared her story on social media and stated, “I want you all to break free, live your life on your own terms and never be held hostage by anyone anymore.”
Shikshya Sangroula is one of the bravest, strongest, and confident delegates whose name appeared in the various wish list and if she participates, she can use the platform to speak for every woman in the world. We’d love to see her on-stage and perform her best at the competition even though it’s a virtual one.
