Miss Universe Nepal 2022 Sophiya Bhujel is all set to showcase ‘Shakti – The Divine Feminine’ which she will be presenting at the national costume competition at Miss Universe 2022. Sophiya Bhujel is currently on her way to the USA where the 71st edition of Miss Universe will be held.

This year, for the national costume, the team took inspiration from Shakti, the fountain of creation, the source of it all. The costume is created by Womens Planet Nepal while the concept is Prerana Shah’s. Sophiya looks absolutely transcendental in the costume portraying the culture and traditions of Nepal.

The red color denotes the blood and symbolizes the power of creation. The Trishul / trident represents the trinity of Creation Life and Death. The accessories symbolize the various aspects how our physical body is the yantra or the vehicle to create magic in this universe.

The costume reminds the people of Nepal of their own strength. It reiterates the fact that each woman is a boundless source of energy. “This costume is here to remind you, your divinity, encourage you to look within and reawaken the Shakti that resides within you. Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
