Norway’s Sunniva Frigstad reveals her national costume for Miss Universe 2020

Miss Universe Norway 2020 Sunniva Frigstad revealed her self-desgined national costume in  a social media post, where she mentioned, “I can finally share the pictures of my national costume with you! I have been looking forward a lot as it is myself who has designed in collaboration with Drømmekjolen.”

She also shared that the national costume will represent Norway as a free country as the reindeer is when it goes under the northern lights in sparkling snow. The costume consists of a two-piece set along with a trail and most captivating part of the attire are the antlers bringing the inspiration to life.

 

 

Drømmekjolen Salon sew Sunniva’s idea into a beautiful costume, while taking up to their social media, they also shared, “When beautiful Sunniva came into our world, we could not say no to help her on the journey. Miss Universe was a whole new world for us. Beautiful, glittery, party dresses with matching shoes and costumes. The national costume must contain something ‘Norwegian’.

We fell on the Nordic. Reindeer, northern lights, a little adventure, crystals, a little hint of the seat valley and imagination. When you attend Miss Universe, it is important to have a costume that stands out. We have had incredible fun with Sunniva creating,” they further explained how the idea came into action.

The enchanting antlers were designed and made by Va Teknikk As, a welding and assembling company, who also shared their experience of creating magic with Sunniva’s idea. They wrote, “Fun and challenging missions. Antlers to the national costume of Miss Norway. Now she is going on to Miss Universe and we have been so lucky to be allowed to contribute.The antlers are made of aluminum, welded and shaped.

Miss Universe 2020 will host the National Costume competition on 13th May 2021 with a live broadcast. Miss Universe Norway 2020 Sunniva Frigstad will represent Norway at the 69th edition of Miss Universe on 16th May 2021 in the United States. The winner will succeed Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa for the title.
