Beauty queens come under fire innumerable times, just like every other public figure. Sadly, most of the times it’s their own so-called fans that target them on their social media for their posts. Recently, Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray was also caught in such a situation where a supposed fan lashed out at the queen for not taking her preparation for Miss Universe 2018 seriously, getting overconfident, and focusing on sponsorships.
The fan wrote one of Catriona’s pictures from El Nido, Palawan, a municipality in the Philippines, “Don’t forget na the stage of Miss Universe this year is a long catwalk… so sana don’t forget your training like your body core and edges. Wag masyadong kumpyansa. Makakapaghintay naman ang partnerships at dadami pa ng bongga if ikaw mananalo as Miss Universe 2018.”

(Do not forget that the stage of Miss Universe this year is a long catwalk ... so hopefully do not forget your training like your body core and edges. Do not be so confident. Partnerships can be extended and you can expect more if you win as Miss Universe 2018)
If we have learned one thing from watching Catriona all these years is, she doesn’t take her responsibilities lightly, and would never be intimidated by an internet troll. The beauty queen very gracefully wrote back, “Yes, I am preparing for Miss Universe, but first and foremost I am Miss Universe Philippines 2018 and that in itself comes with duties and responsibilities. I post beautiful scenes of travel cause I love to share that with you all, but behind that – what you all don’t see – is me working. I was in El Nido for work, as well as Masungi GeoReserve and all my other provincial trips.”
Gray then also reminded the Instagram user to never base judgments on social media. She added that Instagram “is a curated feed of selected moments, not a tell-all reflection of reality.”
Gray definitely shut this hater down, as she once again proved what a hard working queen she is, and how no one should be questioning her dedication to her title.
