No Filipino would forget the tearful moment when Katarina Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez held back sobs and fought tears at the Miss Intercontinental 2017 stage on being adjudged the first runner-up. Every Filipino heart went out to the beauty queen, and thus it comes as no surprise that the Philippines got excited as soon as the former queen hinted at getting back to the pageant world.
Recently, Katarina shared a throwback picture of her from the Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant, in Egypt, and her caption, stirred up the Philippines’ pageant-loving population.

The caption on one of her Instagram pictures read:
Just cause I was my happiest this night in Egypt. To wear the Philippine sash again would be my brightest dream. Miss kita Philippines!
Her fans showed no restraint in showing the beauty queen what they thought of this caption of hers. It seemed to hint at the beauty queen trying her hand at another pageant, and with Miss World Philippines 2018 coming up soon, Katarina’s fans had just one demand, for her to join Miss World Philippines 2018.
A fan wrote, “Join Miss World Philippines please.”
“Katarina Rodriguez, all the waaay! Yes for the WORLD!” another one added.
But, According to her fans, she isn’t just a contender for the crown, she will most definitely win it as well, as one of her fans wrote, “Miss World Philippines!!! We will support you like how we supported Cat during her reign.”
To be showered with such love and support most definitely would have made Katarina consider Miss world Philippines 2018, even if she hadn’t been thinking about it. As the beauty had won a Binibining title at Binibining Pilipinas 2017, she won’t be able to take part in Binibining Pilipinas 2019, therefore, leaving Miss World Philippines 2018 as the most viable choice for her.
With the Miss World Philippines 2018 pageant getting closer every day, more and more former queens are placing their bid at the crown. Recently Miss Philippines Earth Air 2017 Kim De Guzman was spotted at the Aces And Queens’ recent camp for Miss World Philippines 2018.
Miss Globe Philippines 2017 Nelda Ibe also took to her Instagram account, and announced her candidacy for Miss World Philippines 2018, in a very discreet, and confusing manner. She made an Instagram post on the 1st of April and deleted it two days later.
