Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is scheduled to be held on 3rd May 2020 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Metro Manila where Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. Miss Universe Philippines Organization hosted a red-carpet presentation on 14th February 2020 where the Top 52 delegates who will compete for the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 were announced. 

Alexandra Abdon representing Manila in Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is a 25-year-old model and stands 170cm tall. Abdon is not a newbie in the world of pageantry. She has been active since 2015 making her debut through Miss Global Philippines 2015. Later, she also participated in Miss Earth Philippines 2016 and Mutya NG Philippines 2018. She was unable to win the crown in both competitions but didn't lose confidence. Instead, she worked on polishing herself and is back on the field with high determination and confidence to win and eventually represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2020.

Alexandra is confident and knows her worth. She believes that our personality is the reflection of what we think and our belief-system largely impacts our lifestyle. Being a fitness freak, Alex never really skips her exercise regime and is strict with her diet.  She has a perfect figure with a charming personality. She is naturally attractive and is a brand ambassador for brands like ‘Chai Connection’. Being an experienced model, Abdon can be a tough competition this year and her aspiration to win the title may come true.

 Miss Universe Philippines has been separated from Binibining Philippines to form a new branch. The pageant aims to encourage Filipina women to become empowered individuals, who also embody the mission of being agents of meaningful change wherever they are. It trains participants to become role models, pursuing personal and professional goals, while also leaving and inspiring positive impact in society.
