Just as the Red-Carpet Presentation was held on 14th February 2020 for the Miss Universe Philippines 2020, the first edition of the national pageant, 52 stunning divas were unveiled who will now give a strong competition to each other to win the chance to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2020.
The 26-year-old Chiara Lyn Markwalder stands 170cm tall, hails from Leyte and is the official delegate of this province. Chiara speaks in fluent german accent. Her mother is the native of Leyte and her father is from Bern Am Kandertal, Switzerland. She is a Bachelor of Science graduate and majored in Business and Economics from the Detailhandelsschule in Zurich, Switzerland. She has experience working as a super host for Airbnb. Also, she is a self-employed real estate investor.
Chiara possesses a charming personality and has a perfect figure. Back in 2014, she got into the world of pageantry through Miss Global Philippines. Unfortunately, she was unable to make it to the top 4 candidate list and stayed out of the limelight since then. After a long break of 6 years, Chiara is back in the field and all set to vie for the crown to be the delegate of Philippines for Miss Universe 2020.
Chiara is a pet lover and often posts pictures with her dog on Social Media. She believes that everyone is unique and has something that makes them what they are or what they will be. Respect for all the creatures and love for fellow beings is her life philosophy. Her love for beaches can be clearly shown through her social media profile. The finale of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is scheduled to be held on 3rd May 2020 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Metro Manila where Gazini Ganados Miss Universe Philippines 2019 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The pageant is inspired by Miss Universe's slogan ‘Confidently Beautiful’ and henceforth has adopted the theme ‘Confident, beautiful, and empowered Filipinas.’
