With Miss Universe Philippines separating from Binibining Pilipinas in 2019, the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e. Miss Universe Philippines 2020 will be hosted on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados will crown her successor by the end of the event finale.
Joecel Marie Robenta has become the official representative of Antique for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 after she was confirmed at the red-carpet presentation held in Manila. Joecel is 22-years-old and is a registered nurse who has graduated from West Visayas State University. She wants to use the platform to advocate people about healthcare conditions and works at Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu.
Joecel is not new to the pageantry world as she was a part of Ms PASUC 2017 and she won the title. She was also a finalist at Ms. Teen Earth Philippines 2015. She has always wanted to be a beauty queen and being a part of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is like a dream come true for her. She is blessed and honoured and expressed her happiness for the Miss Universe Philippines Organization for selecting her to represent Antique at such prestigious platform.
Joecel is very close to her family and friends and they have always supported and motivated her towards following her dreams and passion about being a beauty queen. She has always worked hard to keep herself ready for any opportunity she gets in future. She is very focused and self-assured towards her goal. Balancing between being a nurse and a beauty queen is tough but Joecel is working this situation perfectly.
Joecel has always been motivated and aspired to achieve her goals. She believes that she has the skills and abilities to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2020 platform. She is working on her body postures, body language, angels and speech for the competition. Since, she has already participated in beauty pageants before in her University, she knows the process and the atmosphere of a beauty pageant but Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is a national pageant and she wants to be ready for anything that comes her way and make her mark in the pageantry world.
Joecel would follow the advocacy "Towards Universal/Quality Health Care for Everyone and Social Media Literacy in Health". Being a registered nurse, she takes health care very seriously and believes that her reaching out to a mass audience would help her and the people to raise awareness about the same. She has a beautiful smile and face which adds up to her strong and opinionated personality and help her be a strong contender for the title.
Miss Universe Philippines aims to encourage Filipina women to become empowered individuals, who also embody the mission of being agents of meaningful change wherever they are. It trains participants to become role models, pursuing personal and professional goals, while also leaving and inspiring positive impact in society.
