Mexicana Universal 2020 will be the 3rd edition of the Mexicana Universal pageant. Thirty-two candidates from all over the Mexican Republic will compete for the national title. Sofía Aragón of Jalisco will crown her successor at end of the event. The winner will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2020 pageant.

Ángeles Alma Castro was crowned Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2019 on 16th February 2020 and will be representing the city of Oaxaca at Mexicana Universal 2020. Ángeles originally hails from Oaxaca, is 21-years-old and stands 173cm tall. She is a student of law and works as a professional model.

Ángeles is not new to the pageantry world as she participated in Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2017 but unfortunately didn’t make it to the top of the competition. The diva worked hard and participated for Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2019 and was crowned as the new queen. She succeeded Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2018 Cintya Bamaca.

Ángeles explains that, "I wanted to be Mexican Universal Oaxaca because I believe in the potential of the Oaxacan woman to represent the beauty of our state, in a national and international contest". Ángeles is very confident and strong woman who has always worked hard to be where she is right now. She is extremely blessed and honoured to represent Oaxaca at Mexicana Universal 2020 stage and hopes to earn the opportunity to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2020 pageant.

Ángeles is very close to her culture and traditions and wants to use the platform of Mexicana Universal 2020 to showcase the same to everyone. She is very proud to be a part of culture that speaks courage, friendships and dreams. Ángeles has worked very hard and is constantly working hard to win the title. She practices regular exercise, makeup, hairstyling, catwalk, altruistic work and interviews that would help her with overall development and confidence for the competition.

The diva never fails to mention special mention to her supporters; family and friends who have always motivated her to follow her dreams and passion. She has worked with renowned photographers and designers gaining some more knowledge about the pageantry which will help her in the upcoming pageant.

With her experience in the pageantry world and confidence she walks on the ramp, Ángeles Alma Castro can give a tough competition to all the contestants of Mexicana Universal 2020. She is very persuasive with her speech as well which can impress the judges.
