The first edition of Miss Universe Philippines i.e. Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is all set to host its coronation on 3rd May 2020 in Mall of Asia Arena, Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. Perlyn Cayona has become the official representative of Zamboanga Del Sur for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 after she was confirmed at the red-carpet presentation held yesterday in Manila. Perlyn hails from Dumingag in Zamboanga Del Sur and has an amazing personality.
The diva is a great fan of music. She loves the modern music and some of her favourites are from artists like Rihanna, Drake, Dua Lipa and The Weeknd. Even though she doesn’t know how to sing well, she says that, enjoying the best of the music and singing along with it loudly is a key to a stress-free life. Apart from all of her love for music, the diva focusses on her studies and is well determined.
The beauty is not new to pageantry as she competed in the regionals of Binibining Dumingag 2019 and won the pageant, which escalated her to Binibining Zamboanga Del Sur in year 2019 only and there also the diva took the crown home.
She is well versed with the pageants and is very passionate about it. It was her dream to compete in Binibining Pilipinas 2019 and win it and then move forward to Miss Universe. Though she wasn’t placed in the national pageant, and she also didn’t give up on her dream.
Gazini Ganados’ performance at the Miss Universe 2019 stage, inspired a lot of Filipina girls and amongst them was this girl, Perlyn, from Zamboanga Del Sur who is very inspired from her and who follows almost every step of the queen and now wants to move forward in the journey just like her. The Miss Universe franchise in the Philippines, previously held by Binibining Pilipinas, was granted to Miss Universe Philippines organization which is headed by national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee. As a separate organization Miss Universe Philippines will encourage Filipina women to become empowered individuals, who also embody the mission of being agents of meaningful change wherever they are.
