Miss Diva Universe 2020 is all set to host its coronation night on 22nd February 2020 where the twenty finalists will be competing for the national crown and an opportunity to represent India at Miss Universe 2020 and Miss Supranational 2020. Vartika Singh Miss Universe India 2019 and Shefali Sood Miss Supranational India 2019 will be crowning their successors at the end of the finale. This is the first edition of Miss Diva under Liva Fluid Fashion.

Miss Diva Universe 2020 hosted its 4th preliminary event in the pink city of Jaipur on 14th February 2020, where Malashya Kashyap from Udalguri, with much pride, adjudged the title of best in National Costume. The divas wore their national costumes and walked through the stage, showcasing the culture and the diversities of the country India. The divas performed really well in the event. They walked with full confidence and grace. They all looked absolutely stunning and, in the end, Malashya, again with her unique style, amazed everyone with her national costume which eventually made her win in the national costume.

Malashya’s national costume draws its inspiration from the great works of Srimanta Shankardev, with special focus on the classical dance form Sattriya started by the great saint from Assam. The garment constitutes of the well-known variety of silk indigenous to Assam - paat and muga silk. The garment also showcases traditional jewellery and brings out the beautiful craftsmanship of the bamboo artisans of the state in the form of the jaapi. Also, a traditional comb called kakoi, which is used as a hair accessory by Bihu dancers has been added to the outfit to give a vibrant and comprehensive glimpse of Assamese culture. The attire is finally brought together with the traditional Assamese gamocha, a symbol of respect and honour. All materials used to create the outfit are environment friendly and preserves the artistic flair of the native Assamese people. The great piece was designed by Chao Chang Rajknowar.
