Binibining Pilipinas organization hosted a Talent Competition on 14th February 2020 at the New Frontier Theater where the stunning beauties showcased their unique talents and fought for the ‘Best in Talent’ award.
The event was hosted by reigning Binibing Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019 Emma Mary Tiglao and YouTube sensation cosplayer Prince De Guzman. The talent competition is one of the most anticipated among the preliminary events of the pageant. Twenty candidates were selected and got a chance to show their talents before a panel of judges that was headed by chairwoman of Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) Mrs. Stella Marquez Araneta, the six reigning Binibining Pilipinas Queens of 2019 and Cassandra Chan, the last year’s winner of the talent competition.
The participants were Binibini #01 Samantha Panlilio, Binibini #02 Rowena Sasuluya, Binibini #03 Lois Ann Badando, Binibini #05 Arianne Deseree Viardo, Binibini #06 Princess Ann Guanzon, Binibini #07 Shannon Tampon, Binibini #08 Meiji Cruz, Binibini #12 Vianca Marcelo, Binibini #14 Hazel Joy Ortiz, Binibini #16 Alexandra Mae Rosales, Binibini #17 Justine Felizarta, Binibini #20 Ana Thea Genarosa, Binibini #22 Maria Ruth Erika Quin, Binibini #27 Jashmin Dimaculangan, Binibini #28 Ma. Francesca Taruc, Binibini #30 Noriza Valerio, Binibini #32 Danica Joy Acuna, Binibini #33 Alexandra Garcia, Mercedes Pair and Binibini #30 Alexangela Salvador.
Since, it was the first preliminary of the competition, it was very interesting to see the divas performing their best for the win. The Filipina beauties seemed to be prepared to take on any task with sincerity and determination. From dancing, singing, showing some dribbling skills, painting, performing magic tricks, some puppeteering and delivering a declamation piece the divas outshined the show by putting their best foot forward and increasing their chances to make a mark in the beauty pageant.
Aside from talent competition, the candidates also modeled clothes and shoes from Jag Jeans and World Balance, the pageant's sponsors. They also modeled red dresses by various Filipino designers. The Red Gala fashion show is for the benefit of the Philippine Red Cross. Singer and theater actor Markki Stroem also provided some addition to the show as he serenaded the candidates. The show's ticket sales were donated to the Philippine Red Cross-Quezon City Chapter.
The winner of the Talent Competition will be announced during the grand coronation night of the pageant on 26th April 2020 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Araneta City. The pageant will award four titles to Philippine representatives to five international beauty pageants which are Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2020, Binibining Pilipinas International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2020 and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2020.
