Miss Universe Philippines 2021, the 2nd edition of the national pageant, was held tonight at the Henann Resort Convention Center, Alona Beach, Panglao, Bohol where twenty-eight stunning ladies competed for the national crown and Beatrice Luigi Gomez was crowned the new queen at the end of the event finale.
While this year’s batch boasted on some of the strongest delegates and phenomenal women, one diva stood out since the beginning of the pageant. She is none other than, everyone’s favourite, Kirsten ‘Kisses’ Delavin. Kisses ended her Miss Universe Philippines 2021 journey in the Top 10 finalists. She also won several special awards including Miss Photogenic, Miss Luxxe White, Miss Universe Philippines Lazada and Miss Red Fox Labs.
In a recent interview, Kisses Delavin has vowed to continue her beauty queen journey until she gets her crown and will be returning to Miss Universe Philippines again. “I am very sure. This is my big dream so I will continue in this path. That is for sure,” she shared.
She had earned praises from some of the biggest names in the industry including Pia Wurtzbach, Rabiya Mateo, and MJ Lastimosa, among other beauty queens and celebrities. Kisses said she would be taking their comments as motivation to do better in the next run.
“This is really my big dream—the Miss Universe crown. I think I’m in a good direction. I will keep in mind positive comments and also points for improvement. When I do represent the country, all aspects will be perfect,” she said. Despite not getting the crown on her first try, Kisses said she was grateful for the experience and the friendships she built.
Kisses is a 22 year old Filipina-Chinese movie and TV personality, recording artist, and brand endorser. She first gained fame in 2016 as a contestant in the reality television series, Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7, where she placed second. She has a huge following and support from Pinoy fans. Kisses is definitely not new to pageantry as she has previously won pageants like Miss Teen Masbate, Miss Masbate Province, Miss Kaogma and runner-up to the titles including Miss Teen Earth Philippines.
Delavin is an award-winning, talented and experienced star, who can definitely prove to be a great contender for the opportunity to represent Philippines at the Miss Universe platform.
