Philippines’ is all geared up for a new queen to represent the country at the Miss Universe and carry forward the legacy yet again. The Miss Universe Philippines organization is set to welcome new aspiring divas to compete for the 3rd edition of the national pageant.

The organization has recently announced the doors open for the applications of the delegates this year as they are scheduled to host the screening for 2022 in February itself, whereas a new queen will be crowned in April 2022 as Miss Universe Philippines 2022.

The organization shared, “Join us in making the most prestigious pageant in the country happen! Be our partner as we launch this global event in February and crown a new phenomenal queen on April 30! This is Miss Universe Philippines 2022.”

Following the footsteps of former Miss Universe Philippines queens, the organization has welcomed applicants to start a queendom of their own. The application period will officially close on February 15, 11:59 PM. The qualification requirements for the candidates are as follows:

The candidate must be at least 18 and under 28 years of age at the time of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

The candidate must be a Filipino Citizen and Philippine Passport Holder.

The candidate must be a female, never been married, and never have been pregnant.

Lastly, there is no minimum height requirement for the candidate to apply.

The reigning queen, Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event. At the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, Beatrice lived up to the expectations and made her country proud with a higly appreciated and stellar top 5 placement at the end of the event. This year’s national winner will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
