Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Chantal Elise Schmidt has made it to the Top 50 at the national competition representing Cebu City. She stands at 177 cm tall and holds a Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma in German and English from the Cebu International School. She is currently taking up Law at a German university through online classes.

Born in Hong Kong, her mom is from Bacolod and her dad from Frankfurt, Germany. She has been modelling since she was 16 and is a confessed dog lover and mom to two cute furballs. The 20-year-old loves to spend time at the beach and on picnics with her friends.

The officials of Miss Universe Philippines revealed it wasn’t easy to choose the Top 50 as the competition has been cut-throat this year. Voltaire Tayag, MUPh Director of Communications said, “The MUPh Organization and other panelists interviewed the pre-screened applicants for two days. Arriving at a Top 50 wasn’t an easy task as each one needed to have a unanimous or majority vote. Several well-known queens screened but there are also numerous newbies that pageant watchers will delight in getting to know as well.”
