Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Headshot Challenge winners announced

14 Mar 2022 | Angelique Reyes

Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

While the Top 50 delegates have already begun their journey towards the national title, Kumu, the official title sponsor, introduced a new variation on the Headshot Challenge. The divas weren't supposed to submit a still shot; instead, they were supposed to film their faces in motion for a few seconds. In this challenge, it seemed that the black horses shone brightly, as the results suggest.

The winners of the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Headshot Challenge are Isabel Luche of Mandaue City, Celeste Cortesi of Pasay City and Francheska Alexine Dadivas of Roxas City, where Isabel came out on the top and the other two spots were claimed by the latter. The list of winners was determined by judges’ votes and fan votes cast through the Miss Universe Philippines app.

Isabel went ahead to share, “The most important thing I've learned is to always believe in myself. My decision to join MUP 2022 was one of the most unexpected in my life. Some may doubt my ability, but I count myself fortunate that many have faith in my abilities and aspirations. We made it today for the headshot challenge, guys.”

“Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for your constant love and support. To my family, friends, and supporters thank you so much for sparing your time and sharing your resources just to cast your votes. Let me also thank the people who have helped me along the way, the ones who believe in me that I have the potential to be your next Miss Universe!” she added.

Following the headshot challenge, the organization announced the next challenge for the delegates. On 14th March, at noon, the videos will be posted on the streaming platform Kumu, and voting for this challenge will begin on 15th March, at 9 a.m.
