Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, is all set be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The winner will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant.

 While the Top 32 finalists competing for the title consists of stunning, determined and driven divas who are passionate towards representing the country at the Miss Universe pageant, some beauties are emerging as strong contenders and front runners for the title. So, without any further ado, here are our Top 10 favourites for the crown of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 –

Silvia Celeste Cortesi representing Pasay

Celeste is a model and a potential licenced real estate broker who is 24 years old. The former Miss Philippines Earth, who was born to a Spanish-Filipina mother and an Italian father, will lead a cross-over delegation to the national pageant this year.

Celeste hopes to be a role model for young women, encouraging them to embrace themselves as a complete rather than only looking for perfection. With her experience in the national pageantry and already having represented the country at Miss Earth, Celeste is definitely a strong contender for the national crown.

 

 

Michelle Marquez Dee representing Makati

The 26-year-old beauty queen, Michelle Marquez is an actor, athlete, and model who is the daughter of supermodel Melanie Marquez, who was Miss International 1979. She attended the De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines and graduated with a degree in psychology. Michelle is also an LGBTQIA+ rights advocate and speaks for autism awareness. 

Not new to the pageant world, Michelle Dee was crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 and placed in Top 12 at Miss World 2019. The diva also has a long list of achievements in the film and tv industry. Ghenesis Latugat representing Baguio City

Ghenesis Latugat, a 22-year-old fourth-year student at Saint Louis University studying Bachelor of Science in Architecture, hails from Tabuk City, Kalinga. Ghenesis graduated senior high school at the University of the Cordilleras in Baguio City, where she studied science, technology, engineering, and mathematics after graduating from Tabuk City National High School (STEM).

Not new to pageantry, Latugat has competed in various local beauty pageants. She is developing as a prospective contender to represent the Philippines on the international stage as a result of her extensive expertise, since she is confident, passionate, and driven to represent and enhance her country, its people, and its culture.

 

 

Katrina Llegado representing Taguig

Katrina is 24 years of age and hails from Taguig. She is a Cum-Laurde graduate from the De La Salle University, Manila with a degree in Financial Management. She believes strongly in the significance of education, particularly for children who may not have had the ideal start in life. Katrina stated that she wants youngsters to know that they can have a solid education regardless of their socioeconomic position.

In 2019, she was crowned as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipina in 2019 and she went on to represent the country at Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 where she was placed as the 5th runner-up. Katrina will definitely be a strong contender for the national crown as she is one of the most experienced and confident queens competing this year as Llegado carries herself with utmost grace and poise and has a strong foothold at international platforms.

 

 

Lou Dominique Piczon representing Cebu Province

Lou Dominique Piczon is 26 years-old, stands 172 cm tall and works as an account executive. The diva is managed by Danny Booc and is an OZAR model, representing the Aces and Queens camp this year. Lou is also a mental health advocate. Prior to the pandemic, she toured around universities in Cebu to spread the awareness on Mental Health, with her Rise Up campaign.

Not new to pageantry, Lou competed in various local beauty pageants. Most recently, she represented Mandaue in Miss Universe Philippines 2020, where she was awarded Best in National Costume and Best in Runway and finished in the Top 16. This year, the diva is stronger and more motivated than ever to win the national crown and represent the Philippines globally.

 

 

Chantal Elise Schmidt representing Cebu City

Cebu city’s Chantal is 20 years-old, stands at 177 cm tall and holds a Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma in German and English from the Cebu International School. She is currently taking up Law at a German university through online classes.

Born in Hong Kong, her mom is from Bacolod and her Dad from Frankfurt, Germany. She later moved to Sydney, Bacolod City, Frankfurt, back to Hong Kong, then Cebu, and now Manila.  She has been modelling since she was 16 and even though Chantal is a pageant newbie, the diva has been one of the most consistent and strong performers at the national pageant.

 

 

Pauline Amelinckx representing Bohol

Pauline is a well-known model and beauty queen who has earned many hearts and praises for her lovely demeanour and attractiveness. She is without a doubt one of the year's most committed and enthusiastic beauty queens.

No stranger to pageantry, Pauline has served as Miss Bohol 2017 and Miss JCI Philippines 2017. She also did well at the Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2018 finals night, where she competed, and she received two special awards: Mutyang Zen Institute and Miss Avon Fashion. Pauline Amelinckx was crowned Miss Global Beauty Queen Philippines 2018 during the Mutya Ng Pilipinas grand finale, and most recently she was the third runner-up of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 competition.

With her plethora of expertise and lovely demeanour, and considering her experience, will, and dedication to promoting the Philippines globally, she would be an ideal option to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022.

 

 

Annabelle McDonnell representing Misamis Oriental

From Iligan City, 21 years old Anabelle went to La Salle Academy, Iligan City. She studied AB Major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and works as a feature writer at The Benildean. The stunning beauty is a 3rd year Consular and Diplomatic Affairs student at the DLSU College of St. Benilde.

Not new to the pageant world, Anabelle has competed at quite a few local pageants but will be competing in her first major international beauty pageant and she seems ready as she has made it to early favourites for the crown.

 

 

Ivylou Borbon representing Pangasinan

Ivylou is 24 years of age and is a Tourism Graduate from St. Louis University. Ivylou is not new to the pageant world as she has won several pageants such as 2017 Limgas na Pangasinan Tourism, 2018 Miss Baguio 1st runner-up and 2018 Miss Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio.

However, this is her first national pageant stint and she seems more than prepared to take on the challenge. Ivylou has also dedicated her first national stint to her grandmother who wanted to see her become Miss Universe. Julia Saubier representing Albay

Juila was born in Lyons, France, is 27 years old and is an academic achiever who financed her studies from high school to her Master's degree through academic scholarships. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University Abu Dhabi, took her Master's Degree from Yenching Academy of Peking and went to the Identity School of Acting in London.

Not new to pageantry, she first competed in Binibining Pilipinas in 2019, and this year she is competing at a national pageant for the second time, but for the opportunity to represent Philippines at Miss Universe. The diva is a strong believer of having a big heart, good values and solid work ethic. She is definitely a strong and favourite contender for the national crown this year, with her experience, stellar personality and passion to represent the country internationally.
