Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Seychelle Jaochico has made it to Top 50 at the national competition representing Mariveles, Bataan. Being 5 feet 3 inches, it was always a dream of Seychelle’s to participate in a big pageant but it was not possible until Miss Universe Philippines organization changed the rules and allowed shorter girls to compete as well.

Seychelle also wrote, “Around this time my sisters, my mom, and I would look forward to watching all the pageants. I used to just imagine this, yung rumarampa sa stage(walk on a stage) with a sash proudly representing and screaming out my name and province… it was always just a “dream” cause I thought I was too short, I needed another inch just to make it to the minimum height for pageant standards. But when the organization gave the chance to small girls like us (any girls, actually), I know I would regret not even trying. Here I am, a 5’3” girl making her dreams come true while also serving with a purpose.”

Seychelle participated in a smaller pageant before in 2016 when she placed fourth runner-up at Mutya ng Mariveles 2016. Jaochico attended Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco, California, United States. She was an intern at the Academy of Art University, at Clark Construction Group and at Support for Families of Children with Disabilities from 2012 to 2013.

As for her profession, Jaochico is also a nurse. She studied nursing at Angeles University Foundation in Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines and at the College of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in San Fernando, Pampanga. The stunning beauty is definitely going to be a strong contender for the national crown if she continues with her strong efforts and determination to win a crown for her province.
