Miss Universe Philippines organization has announced the Top 40 delegates who will be competing for the fourth edition of Miss Universe Philippines. The finale date and time is yet to be announced for the pageant where Celeste Cortesi Miss Universe Philippines 2022 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
In a series of features, lets introduce the Top 40 delegates of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. Michelle Marquez Dee, a pageant veteran, has made it as one of the official delegates of the national competition.
Michelle Dee is 27 years of age and hails from Makati city, Manila. From an accomplished family herself, Michelle was born to businessman and former actor Frederick ‘Derek’ Dee and to actress, author, and beauty queen Melanie Marquez Miss International 1979. Michelle is of Chinese-Filipino heritage, a perfect culmination of two cultures.
Not new to the pageantry, Michelle holds various titles under her belt; the stunning beauty won Miss World Philippines 2019 crown and then competed at Miss World 2019 where she placed in the Top 12. She went onto compete at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 where she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022. If she decides to compete at Miss Universe Philippines 2023, this will be her second try at the national pageant.
Michelle attended the De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines and graduated with a degree in psychology. Also, during covid-19, Michelle did not let lockdown and quarantine get in the way of pursuing her passions as she earned her certification from the Harvard Business School Online.
Dee pursued the Entrepreneurship Essentials course from the prestigious university's online program. Michelle’s strong experience in the pageantry, her educational background and her amicable personality makes her an ideal representative of Philippines at Miss Universe 2023.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 winner will be the successor of Celeste Cortesi, who represented the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 in January. The winner of the upcoming pageant will compete at the 72nd Miss Universe which will take place in El Salvador in late 2023.
