Miss Universe Philippines – Quezon 2024 has unveiled its official contestants competing for the regional crown and there’s one contestant that has already come under the limelight with her participation. Jocelyn Cubales, at 69, is creating history at the regional pageant this edition.

However, Jocelyn is a pageant veteran who has also represented South Asia in Mrs. Universe 2017. Jocelyn’s participation is allowed this year with the changes in the upper limit of the age bracket at Miss Universe, allowing aspiring beauty queens above 28 years of age to compete at the competition.

Jocelyn has set a precedent for the younger generation as well as she has become the epitome of grit and determination. As Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray said, “If that contestant can go through the casting process, become a candidate, and earn the right to represent her country, then why not? Who are we to say, ‘You know that’s wrong.’”

If Jocelyn wins the regional pageant, she will win the opportunity to represent Quezon province at Miss Universe Philippines 2024. The coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines – Quezon City 2024 will be held on 5th February 2024.
