Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Aidyl Mhay Sanchez is one of the Top 50 delegates competing for the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 representing Guiginto, Bulacan. She is a psychology graduate who moved to Philippines in 2019 to get back to her roots and know more about her culture, food, people, music and the way of living.

Not new to pageantry, Aidyl joined her first pageant with Binibining Bulacan and went home with the title 'Binibining Bulacan Sangguniang Kabataan 2020/21, a title that allowed her to engage with the youth of Bulacan. The diva is a mental health advocate and chose the same as her advocacy for the pageant.

“We have come to realize that along with taking care of our physical health, we must also take care of our mental health. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There is always someone out there to listen to you or to simply be there for you. Remember, it doesn’t have to be a doctor, a nurse or a medical professional. Don’t be afraid to seek help from a family member, a friend, a stranger, a colleague, a neighbor or that person right next to you,” she shared.

The diva also mentioned, “As an advocate of mental health, I’ll do my best to shine a light on mental health issues. I will ensure that it is better understood because our health is wealth.” Aside from being an animal lover, an avid reader and a travel junkie, Aidyl also aspires to be a psychoanalytic psychotherapist someday.
