Miss Universe Puerto Rico organization has crowned Estefani´a Soto Torres as the new Mis Universe Puerto Rico 2020 who will now represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2020. She succeeds Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 Madison Anderson Berrios.
As predicted, the organization has crowned last year’s first runner-up to take up the responsibility as a national pageant could not be organized due to covid-19. Estefanía has a master's degree in intercultural mediation from the University of Leuven in Belgium. For the past 2 years she has worked for a European organization in Brussels and for the French Embassy in Washington DC. A multilingual, Estefania is fluent in English, Spanish as well as French.
On being asked previously as to why she would be an ideal representative of her country at an international platform, Estefania said, “Regardless of the fact that I am in a world of 'superficial' beauty, I am giving myself the opportunity to understand the value of everything I have achieved so far as a professional. But it is now or never because there is an age that limits you to compete.”
On being crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2020, Estefania also took to her social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “I have to believe this is meant to be. Life handed me a precious adornement and placed me face to face with an honorable purpose. All queened-up and crowned, I am humbled by the opportunity of carrying this golden emerald crown. Representing my country and my people on a platform with great potential to further social change is a responsibility I cherish with all my heart.”

Estefanía’s beauty, confidence and intelligence are her three strong pillars as a model and a woman who will give a strong competition to the other ladies at Miss Universe 2020. Last year, Madison Anderson Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 represented her country at Miss Universe 2019 and with her stellar performance, she placed as the first runner-up at the end of the event finale.
