The Miss Maurice organization has officially appointed Gabriella Gonthier as the new Miss Universe Seychelles 2022 as she became the second representative from her beautiful islands to compete at Miss Universe. The island nation of Seychelles is set to return to Miss Universe stage after twenty-seven years.

Hailing from the exquisite Seychelles Islands; specifically the mainland, Mahe, Gabriella Gonthier is a degree holder in International Business and by profession is a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. She is a firm believer in the simplest things making a great difference and hence, enjoys advocating, modelling, site seeing, and photography. At 24 years old, Gabriella has already been recognized nationally and internationally for her achievements in the fields of Blue Economy, as well as being a top scorer for her university course and a nominated top female model on the African scale.

Enthusiastic to many causes Gabriella does not limit herself to her enegagement with several entities and NGO's such as the Ocean Governance Youth Group, Mental Health Associations & much more. Her drive to engage in these causes are simply based on the principle that everyone has a purpose and can create impact.

She believes in creating a beautiful life rather than to wait for one and, lives her life to the fullest as every single moment should be cherished; regardless of the situation. Gabriella is a girl with vision and dreams, determined to make them a reality.

The first and last time the Seychelles competed at Miss Universe was in 1995. Coming back after almost three decades, under the delegation of Gonthier, Seychelles is definitely marking a strong head start at the competition. Gabriella will represent Seychelles at Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held later this year.
