Miss Universe Singapore was not held in 2020 due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The title was assigned to Ong, who was a finalist in the inaugural edition under Lim’s directorship. Singapore started competing in Miss Universe in 1954. In 1983, Kathie Lee Lee Beng finished in the Top 12, making her the first Singaporean candidate to place in Miss Universe. The second one was Marion Nicole Teo, who finished in the Top 10 in 1987.

Congratulations to the newly crowned queen!
