The finale of Miss Universe Singapore 2022 was held on Monday, 17th October 2022 at the Alcove at Caldwell House where Carissa Yap was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Singapore at Miss Universe 2022.

Carissa Yap bested nine other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2022. Carissa is 22 years of age and a business student at the National University of Singapore. Through her advocacy, Carissa wants to come up with financial solutions to help the unbanked community.

Also at the end of the event finale, Yvonne Sashirekha and Denissia Li Xia Delangle were adjudged as the first and second runners-up respectively. Top 5 also included Olivia Higgins and Sara Yong. Top 10 finalists also included Amira Yunos, Andrea Dias, Delvina Katerina Luther, Priyanka Annuncia, and Shien Tan.

This year’s panel of jury included Singapore fashion and couture designer Frederick Lee, COO of EQ World Pte Ltd and Miss Universe Singapore 1987 Marion Nicole Teo, actress and Miss Universe Singapore 2013 Shi Lim, fashion and commercial photographer Jeff Chang, and Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay General Manager Jessie Khoo-Gan.

Carissa Yap walked away with prizes including a 4-night hotel stay at Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay, a complete dental makeover from Orchard Scotts Dental, a diamond jewelry set from The Better Diamond, wardrobes and an all paid expenses trip to the US for Miss Universe.

Carissa Yap succeeds Miss Universe Singapore 2021 Nandita Banna. Miss Universe 2022 is all set to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on 14th January 2022 where Harnaaz Sandhu Miss Universe 2021 will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
