27 Feb 2020 | Abigail Henry

Miss South Africa 2020, the 62nd edition of Miss South Africa, will host its finale soon where the next delegate to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2020 will be crowned. South Africa’s performance at the international beauty pageants has been incredible as the divas have always proven their worth in the competition and with their remarkable performances, they have taken home multiple titles, especially in the recent years.

With South Africa’s splendid pursuance at Miss Universe 2019 under Zozibini Tunzi’s delegation, it would be interesting to see which diva gets to represent South Africa at an international level in 2020. With our Wishlist being prepared for the pageant, we have picked out our suitable candidates for the title. Karishma Ramdev has made it to our Wishlist as we think she has great potential to win the title of Miss Universe South Africa 2020.

Karishma is 25 years of age and has graduated as a Medical Student from the University of Pretoria. Hailing from Chatsworth, KwaZulu-Natal, Karishma earlier held the title of Miss Tuks Varsity Cup 2015. Karishma draws huge inspiration from Kerishnie Naicker who was the first and only Indian Miss South Africa. The gorgeous diva strongly relates and identifies with the former beauty queen. She aims to be a reconstructive plastic surgeon in South Africa and aims to help children with cleft lip and palate. This cause is close to her heart as she empathizes with children having cleft lip who are often get isolated in social settings by others for having a condition that is medically curable.

The beauty queen is not new to the pageantry as she earlier competed in Miss South Africa 2018, where she performed exceedingly well at the gala night. She looked stunning in her white swimsuit as she walked in swaying motion flaunting her body. In the Long evening gown preliminary round also, she stood confident and charming amongst other contestants competing for the pageant. She successfully locked her place in the Top 5, but unfortunately could not go any further.

Karishma has an ideal pageant diva face which can definitely help her move ahead in the competition. With her desire to do good for the society and her beauty and charm, she can definitely give a strong competition to all the delegates.

If she participates and manages to win the national title of Miss South Africa, she could use it as a platform to communicate her advocacies and help people of South Africa in their growth and development. Miss South Africa needs to be strong, mentally and physically and should have the most compassionate heart for people, and she is the perfect example of it. She is one of those young aspiring women who will be able to make a difference in the lives of others.
