The Miss Universe Spain organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2021 edition on 16th October 2021 in Tenerife, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed for the national crown and an opportunity to represent the country at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe pageant. At the end of the event, Sarah Loinaz was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Miss Universe Spain 2020 Andrea Martínez for the title.
The 23-year-old stands 172 cm tall and studied business administration and management. She is fluent in four different languages owing to her multicultural family background.
Hailing from Gipuzkoa, the Basque model managed to beat 12 other finalists for the title. She was previously the fifth runner-up at Reina Hispanoamericana 2016.

Second runner-up - Carmen Serrano
In an emotional post, Loinaz shared her success story stating,” Many doors were closed for me, I fell hundreds of times questioning everything, BUT I decided to get up and fight regardless of the difficulties that I was encountering along the way. Each fall was a lesson. I spent nights studying, constantly looking for motivation in my dreams and living with a suitcase in hand, ready to leave home without knowing when I was going to return.”
“Today I tell you that nothing is impossible, that we dream big and work hard for what we want. Let’s use every obstacle for our own evolution and let’s never stop having faith,” she wrote up on her social media.
Miss Universe Spain 2020 Andrea Martínez represented Spain at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant, earlier this year, where she was highly appreciated for her performance but remained unplaced at the end of the event. Spain last bagged the Miss Universe crown in 1974. This year, Miss Universe Spain 2021 Sarah Loinaz will head on to represent Spain at Miss Universe 2021 to be held in December 2021 in Eilat, Israel. Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Congratulations queen!
