Ida Omvar has been crowned as the Miss Universe Sweden 2016 at the finals held on August 28’ 2016. Ida succeeds Paulina Brodd Miss Universe Sweden 2015, and will now represent Sweden at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

20 years old Iva Ovmar grew up in Norrbotten Lulea and is currently residing in Stockholm. She loves trying new things and always strived for a life without limits. Iva is not new to the world of beauty pageants and has represented Sweden in a number of international beauty pageants, including Miss Supranational 2014 and Miss Bride of Sweden in 2014. She was the first runner-up in the Miss Exclusive pageant. She wants to change the situation of the downtrodden children around the world and believes that all young people should have equal rights.
At the same pageant, Cloie Skarne was crowned Miss Earth Sweden 2016 and Clara Långsjö was crowned as Miss international Sweden 2016.
Sweden has had three Miss Universe winners in the past – 1955, 1966 and 1984. Do you think Ida Ovmar will be able to bring the fourth crown to the country this year?
