Miss Universe Sweden organization, through their official media, announced their withdrawal from the upcoming edition of Miss Universe. The organization held no national pageant this year and no appointment was made.
Through their official social media, Miss Universe Sweden organization wrote, “Big Announcement. We are sad to announce that we will not participate in Miss Universe 2022. Moa Sandberg Miss Universe Sweden 2021 will continue having her reign in the upcoming year. Instead we are looking forward to next year, filled with new exciting goods!”
Last year, Moa Sandberg Miss Universe Sweden 2021 represented Sweden at Miss Universe 2021 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 21. Sweden holds two Miss Universe crowns under its belt.
Miss Universe 2022 will be the 71st Miss Universe pageant which will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.
