In a series of updates that are coming before Miss Universe 2022 airs in January 2023, it has been announced that the official broadcast channel for the 71st edition is Roku as the contract with Fox channel has ended.

“Now that we have Roku, what exclusively can we do for them during this commercial space that that audience can feel like they’re seeing more of the inside, behind the scenes. I joined here hoping to bring a level of transparency that I don’t think exists at the organization and Roku kind of loved that idea. It’s also a great time to just watch the data and see what works”, Anne, the CEO of JKN Global Group, the current owner of Miss Universe quoted.

Also, the contract with Steve Harvey has ended and a new female host will be announced for the upcoming edition in the coming weeks. Steve Harvey had been hosting the pageant since 2015 barring 2020 and was loved by the audiences and the contestants alike.

Moreover, there will be other places that will broadcast the competition as Roku is only the main channel for the USA. Telemundo is back as well as multiple tv channels across the world who decide to buy the rights to broadcast. JKN will be taking the rights for Thailand and the pageant will also air on JKN18 YouTube as well as the Miss Universe YouTube channel.
