Miss Universe Thailand organization is all set to reveal the forty finalists that will compete this year to succeed Maria Lynn Ehren (aka Maria Poonlertlarp), Miss Universe Thailand 2017 and be crowned the next Miss Universe Thailand.
The event to announce the Top 40 finalists will be held in Phuket, Thailand from 2 pm – 4pm Thailand time (UTC + 7 hours).
From amongst the seventy-two semi-finalists who were shortlisted post-auditions, forty will make to the list of finalists basis the results of preliminary interviews, and will go on to compete in the finale of the 19th edition of the national beauty pageant to be held on Jun 30th at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon in Bangkok, Thailand. The winner will go on to represent Thailand in Miss Universe 2018.
Last year, Thailand did come close to winning the crown when Maria made an entry to the Top 5 finalists of Miss Universe 2017, but eventually last to Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa who won the Miss Universe 2017 title.
Given the success of Thailand at the last year edition of Miss Universe, the expectations from this year’s Miss Universe Thailand pageant are set high and the fans expect the organization to produce a winner this year.
