Señorita Panama 2018 held its grand finale on 7th June 2018 at the Roberto Duran Arena where twenty divas competed for the national finale. Rosa Iveth Montezuma was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Laura de Sanctis.
Rosa who represented Comarcas at the national pageant will now represent her country Panama at the upcoming Miss Universe 2018. With a license in food technology and informative education, Rosa is definitely our beauty with brain.
She also took to her social media to express her feelings on her win, as she expressed, “If you can dream it you can achieve it. My dream started with a deep feeling and love for my roots, it was growing through time with hope, effort and dedication, today comes the great night for which I worked hard, each sacrifice will be worth it if you do it with passion. I thank God for his infinite sustenance, my family for motivation, friends and especially all of you who have been day by day showing me their love, advice, constructive criticism and support even without knowing each other have become my other family. I thank the organization Senorita Panama for the opportunity they gave me and congratulate them for being the most complete team and a great example of commitment to the project. It has undoubtedly been a rewarding and teaching experience.”
The first-runner up is Zunilda del Valle who represented Taboga and the second runner-up is Andrea Batista who represented Los Santos.

The grand finale also saw the crowning of three other representatives to the international pageants. Miss World Panama 2018 is Solaris Barba, Miss Panama International 2018 is Shirel Ortiz and Miss Earth Panama 2018 is Diana Lemos.
