Miss Universe Thailand 2022 Anna Sueangam-iam is currently in New Orleans, Louisiana going through the fittings and registrations as Miss Universe 2022 has begun. Anna has impressed everyone with her extensive style, her pleasant personality and decent communication skills.

The national organization, Miss Universe Thailand organization, has revealed the exquisite national costume which Anna will be showcasing at the Miss Universe 2022 finale night. Titled ‘Songkran Devi’, the Thai national costume was inspired by the Songkran Lady of 2023 named “Kimita Devi”, who is one of the 7 goddess daughters of King Kabilaprom and a symbol of Songkran festival.

The pattern of the dress was inspired by traditional “Flowing Water” hand-woven fabric of Thai craftsmanship and handicrafts. To enhance modernity, the dress was embellished with embroidery, beads, crystals, sequins and discarded bottles. This dress is complemented by a silver bowl made by Thai skilled craftsmen.

Silver bowls are used to pour water on the hands of elders, splash water during the festival, as well as for everyday use. This showcases the way of life, culture, tradition and local wisdoms that are refined and creative. It also builds careers for locals and communities. Furthermore, it reflects the bliss, love, humility and beauty of the Thai culture passed down from generation to generation.

Needless to say, Anna looked absolutely stunning in the national costume that she will be showcasing at the national costume competition. The finale of Miss Universe 2022 will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.
