On June 29, the August Auditorium of the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona will become the setting for the Miss Universe Spain 2018 (Miss Universo España2018) coronation gala. The pageant will crown the successor of Miss Universe Spain 2017 Sofía del Prado at the conclusion of the coronation night of the event.
On 10th June, 2018, Paola López was crowned Miss Universe Las Palmas 2018 for Miss Universe Spain 2018. The event was held at Puerto de Mogán for the second year in a row. The president of Puerto de Mogán, Santiago Ara, placed the band on the new beauty queen as former Miss Universe Las Palmas 2017 Daira Santana crowned her. This was the last crowning of the pageant, as the rest of the contestants had already been announced.
The castings began on Saturday, April 7, at the Holmes Place Montecarmelo facilities: Calle del Monasterio de Arlanza, 20, 28049 Madrid.
The second casting took place in Barcelone, and the final 2 castings were supposed to take place in Malaga and Valencia. Unfortunately, in order to speed up the casting process, and announce the finalists soon, the organizers had to decide against these castings, and name two different cities.
The finalists that will be going forward to the finale stage of Miss Universe Spain 2018 are Adriana Suarez, Amabel Martinez, Ana Fernandez, Anakristina Rivero, Andrea De La Heras, Angela Ponce, Coral Gonzalez, Helena Escoriza, Magnolia Martinez, Mari Cayrols, Mireia Cano, Miriam Paredes, Noelia Roel Agrelo, Paola López, Patricia Lamana, Paula Flores, Raquel Arias, Romina Arias, Sheila Monjas, Susana Sanchez, and Vanesa Fernandez.
The organization highlights that the gala has an expected duration of three hours, starting at 20:00 hrs (UTC+2) and ending at 23:00 hrs (UTC+2) approximately, in which different musical performances will be interspersed with the parades of the candidates for the various judging rounds like swimsuit, evening gown, etc. Tickets for the event went on sale on 31st May, 2018, at 17:30 hrs (UTC+2).
