Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler resigns as the National Director for Miss Venezuela Organization

16 Jun 2021 | Camilla Suarez

Gabriela Isler Miss Universe 2013 became the national directors of Miss Venezuela organization in April 2018, but in a recent development, the former beauty queen has been rumoured to have resigned from the organization. Though the reasons for her decision are not as clear, there are speculations that she might be interested in other projects and wants to dedicate herself almost completely to her family, keeping in mind that the queen is about to give birth to her first baby.

The decision could have also been made seeing the little support she has received from Venezuelans who accused her and her allies of leading South American Power House in decline in the Miss Universe contest. Maria has been serving as the communication and training director for the organization of Miss Venezuela for over three years now and has reportedly already presented her resignation for her position.

Isler served as Director of Communications and Training, acting as the Organization’s spokesperson and as representative to the various international beauty pageants and franchises. Maria led the development of the training plan for candidates and winners. Additionally, she also worked together with Cisneros’ Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility to define community service projects and social causes for the contestants and winners.

Currently, Maria is a Venezuelan TV host and fashion model, who created history as she brought home the seventh Miss Universe of her country in 2013. Isler will hopefully continue in her career as a model and television commentator with Venevision, where she focuses on socially responsible reporting.

Apart from her on-screen careers, she is also the Chairwoman of Isler Initiative Foundation and Chairwoman and founder of Universe of Blessings Fund, a charity organization devoted to female empowerment and counseling. She is also the founding partner of a social firm called Soulful Impact and a consulting member of the Resolution Project, among many more such projects.

While we await for the official confirmation of her resignation by Miss Venezuela, we congratulate and wish her luck in this new path that she has decided to start walking on.
