Mireia Lalaguna reaches Indonesia to attend the finals of Miss Indonesia 2016

Mireia Lalaguna, the reigning Miss World has finally reached Jakarta on February 22’ 2016. Mireia will attend the finals of Miss Indonesia 2016 to be held on February 24’ 2016. Mireia looked extremely gorgeous and breathtaking, donning a white shirt and red blazer as she landed in Indonesia.

Mireia also revealed that this is her first visit to Indonesia and she is very excited about it. The 23 years old beautiful Miss World added, “This is my first visit to Indonesia. I feel happy to come to this country.” Mireia received a warm welcome by the media at the airport.

Mireia will be a special guest at the finals of Miss Indonesia 2016. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 24th February 2016 at the RCTI Studio 14 at 20:30 pm as per Indonesia’s standard time.

After her arrival, the beauty queen attended a media conference, where she was greeted by the Miss Indonesia 2016 contestants along with the esteemed National Director, Liliana Tanoesoedibjo. The press conference was conducted well, and the media interacted with the beauty queen asking about her journey to the coveted crown of Miss World.

It is like a tradition in Indonesia, that the reigning Miss World crowns the winner of Miss Indonesia. Last year, Rolene Strauss was the guest of honour, and she crowned Maria Harfanti who went on to represent Indonesia at the Miss World 2015 pageant; bagging the title of second runner-up. Mireia is all excited to attend the finals as according to her this will be an entirely new experience for her. “It will be great to see a new part of the world, to feel some winter sunshine, and to see Maria (Miss Indonesia 2015) again. I’ve always wanted to visit Indonesia and now is my chance. Jakarta here I come!” said Mireia Lalguna.

This year, there are a total of 34 contestants, who are competing for the coveted title of Miss Indonesia 2016.There will be several preliminary rounds, including a sports and fitness round. The finale will be broadcast live from the RCTI studios in Jakarta on February 24, from 20:30pm onwards.
