Ever since the Puerto Rican beauty Stephanie Del Valle has been crowned Miss World 2016, she has been keeping a low profile. Therefore, many have been scratching their heads on to thinking what is the reigning Miss World up to? Well, the beauty queen has been doing her share of social work, even though she has not been very vocal about it.
On March 29th, the Governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Roselló, and the First Lady, Beatriz Roselló, held a reception at El Palacio de Santa Catalina as part of the closing for the activities held on World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st. The event was used to commemorate and congratulate those who participated and thank them for their hard work. Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle was a part of the event.

Stephanie Del Valle shared her experience and said, “Lily’s Angels Foundation, in collaboration with other Down Syndrome entities, brought together teens and young adults with Down Syndrome to intern at different government and private offices to promote the importance of inclusion in the work field. It was a pleasure for me to be part of such an important activity that endorses inclusion and to see how people with this condition really do contribute to society because they have no limits!”
Lily’s Angels is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness about Down Syndrome, as well as increasing access to therapy.

The 67th edition of the Miss World pageant will be held in Sanya, China. The decision was taken following a strategic cooperation agreement signed with the New Silk Road Fashion Organisation on 27th February 2017.
However, there has been no official announcement by the Miss World Organisation, but the news has been confirmed by reliable sources. If it’s true, this will be the seventh time that Sanya will host the competition. The city has previously hosted Miss World finals in the years, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2015.
