What if the Head to Head Challenge winner is also a Fastrack winner?

This year Miss World 2017 came up with a new concept of various challenges and judges’ call to decide the Top 40 contestants. The first Fastrack challenge of Miss World 2017 took place yesterday where the girls sweated out in the sports competition. The Head to Head challenges of almost half the groups has also finished for which the public voting is still open.

Though it’s a great way of making the competition more interactive for the fans, the girls also get a chance to showcase their worth at each stage of the pageant but the concept itself is quite confusing on so many levels.

From what we understand till now is that the contestants who have already participated in the Head to Head challenge are also eligible to take part in Fastrack rounds. But what we fail to understand is how the group results of Head to Head challenge will be announced, if one of the contestants of the similar group has already entered the Top 40 through Fastrack.

For example, Miss World Dominican Republic 2017, Aletxa Mueses has advanced to Top 40 through sports challenge directly while she also took part in Head to Head challenge of Group 9. So, now only 5 contestants in Group 9 are left, out of which it is still unclear whether one queen will be announced as the winner or not of Head to Head challenge. It’s a great possibility that she could be the winner of Head to Head challenge as well as winning sports challenge.

What if the Head to Head Challenge winner is also a Fastrack winner?

Even though there is a winner from each group, does it justify the voting process where the followers have religiously voted for their favourites in Head to Head challenge? In a way, it means that all the votes they have gone waste because they are not considered only.

In our opinion, the Fastrack challenges could have taken place before Head to Head challenge from which 5 contestants directly enter Top 40. Then the groups of the remaining contestants could have been formed to compete in Head to Head challenge. Once the winners of this challenge came out, the judges’ could have selected 15 candidates from the remaining unplaced girls.
