As it is rightly said, “Once a Miss World, always a Miss World”, Manushi Chhillar has completed one year of her reign with her scintillating performance and fulfilling of her responsibilities. The gorgeous Indian beauty was crowned Miss World 2017 on 18th November 2017 last year. After bringing home the Miss World crown after a long jinx, the beauty queen is already feeling mixed emotions about her handing over her title.

Manushi took to her social media to reveal her emotions in a post, “Today, a year ago my life changed completely. I can recall every millisecond of that night, what I was feeling, what I was experiencing and what I was thinking. And one word India is all that mattered. With gratitude in my heart, I wish you a happy anniversary, India.”

Manushi became the sixth titleholder for India after Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra brought the crown home. She also celebrated her completion of one year at the Lux Golden Rose Awards where she wore the most gorgeous gown.

For her, passion is the first and foremost quality to have to be a Miss World queen. As she says, “You need to love your work with that passion. You need to have that drive to be a Miss World because it's not an easy task.” Curiosity and Honesty are also major traits that a pageant queen must possess.

Being a beauty queen has also changed Manushi’s life as she quotes, “Being Miss World has completely changed my life. Apart from now becoming a people's person and the big change that everyone knows and is talking about, personally it has made me more confident. Travelling and meeting different kinds of people has taught me how to communicate and how to adjust in all sorts of situations and people. Most of all, it feels like we have grown and the learning process is much faster.”
