Miss World 2018 will be hosting its grand finale on 8th December 2018 which will see the reigning Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will be crowning her successor. Before the finale, the contestants have been divided into 20 groups for the Head to Head Challenge, where the winner will go on to get a permanent spot in the Top 30 in the finale. Only one contestant from each group will be able to proceed to the second round.

The results of the first round of the Head to Head challenge will be out on 28th November 2018, but before that, Angelopedia presents to you the best answers given by the delegates of each group who outshone her competitors. Following are the best answers from Group 11 to Group 15 -

GROUP 11 - Myanmar, Armenia, New Zealand, Belize, Italy, Guatemala

Question - What do you hope to accomplish in the next five years?

The best answer was given by Miss World Myanmar 2018 Han Thi who said that she would like to complete her schooling in the next five years. She wants to develop her artistic career and make a name in her community. Han Thi dreams of saving up enough money to open a small school to support children with scholarships in the future. What a humble and futuristic thought! She stands out in the group because she is determined to serve her community, especially the future of the children who shape the nation.

GROUP 12 - Egypt, Vietnam, South Sudan, Panama, Montenegro, India

Question - Who is someone from your country who inspires you?

The best answer of this group was given by Miss World India 2018 Anukreethy Vas. She said that apart from her mother and grandmother, she is most inspired by India’s former president, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who she looks up to as a father figure. Anukreethy is deeply inspired by his story of how a small town boy goes on to become one of the most loved and respected Presidents of India and has an invention in his own name. She followed a quote that he said, “A dream is not what you see while you are sleeping, but it is something that does not let you sleep.” Anukreethy’s inspirational figure is really an example to go by, and that makes her stand out of the group.

GROUP 13 - Bosnia & Herzegovina, Guam, Luxembourg, Nepal, Moldova

Question - What is the biggest problem faced by your country and how would you solve it?

Best answer of this group was given by Miss World Nepal 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada. She addresses the problem of unemployment as one of the biggest challenges faced by her country. Shrinkhala says that a lot of youth are migrating to foreign countries for job opportunities. She then presents with a solution and says that tourism, which is one of the biggest strengths of her country would help create jobs and in the end prevent the youth from being unemployed. Shrinkhala then goes on to say that Nepal is a country with diverse culture, ethnicities and religions. She also adds her country is very big in celebrations and festivities and she would like to invite the world into her country with big and bright smiles.

GROUP 14 - Martinique, Netherlands, Belarus, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Singapore

Question - Can one person change the world? If so, how?

The best answer in this group was given by Miss World Puerto Rico 2018 Dayanara Martínez. All the contestants gave really good answers and they did so very confidently, but Dayanara stood out. She started her answer by saying that one person can ideally change the world, and gave examples of the likes of Martin Luther King. She said that the reason they could change the world was that they fought endlessly for something that is so much bigger than themselves. Dayanara said that she has been working with organisations who provide the basic amenities to the people who have been affected by the hurricanes in Puerto Rico. She goes on to say that by personally contributing to the growth of their community and fighting for the cause can certainly help change the world.

GROUP 15 - Mongolia, Greece, Austria, Thailand, Ukraine, Hungary

Question - What does Beauty with a Purpose mean to you?

Best answer of this group was given by Miss World Thailand 2018 Nicolene Pichapa. To her, Beauty with a Purpose means spreading happiness and love. She says that the beauty should be a giver of opportunities to those who haven’t received it, Nicolene also says that this beauty with a purpose should be able to put herself in anybody’s shoes, no matter which class they are in, where they are from, what race, culture or age they belong to. She also says that ‘she’ should be passionate and knows that they were put on this world for a purpose.
