As Miss World 2018 moves towards the finale, the preliminary competitions are being held for the delegates to maintain a strong foothold in the competition. The Talent Round was held hours ago where the delegates showcased their best abilities. From gorgeous cultural dances to melodious singing, the competition witnessed it all.
At the end of the Talent Competition, Miss World Japan 2018 Kanako Date was announced the winner as she won the spot and became the second quarter-finalist of Miss World 2018. She gave a spellbinding performance of Puccini’s opera Tosca, the area: Vissi d’Artev. The judges and auditorium were in awe of the performance, which received a standing ovation.
Mao Peirui of China, Hanna Begovic of Canada, Agata Biernat of Poland and Larissa Ping Liew of Malaysia were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively. Top 18 also included – Kalina Miteva of Bulgaria, Reihana Koteka-Wiki of Cook Islands, Ambika Ramraj of Guyana, Stephie Morency of Haiti, Anukreethy Vas of India, Alya Nurshabrina of Indonesia, Yoselin Reyes of Nicaragua, Solaris Barba of Panama, Maquenna Gaiarín of Paraguay, Dayanara Martinez of Puerto Rico, Amaia Izar of Spain, Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan of Thailand and Marisa Butler of United States.
A special mention was given to Miss World Haiti 2018 Stephie Morency as she gave a compelling imploring dance, which was breathtaking to watch. It was a very emotive dance with a strong message for the audience to watch.
Now, Maeva Coucke of France and Kanako Date are the first two delegates to have won the spot in the Miss World 2018 Top 30 delegates. The finale of Miss World 2018 will be held on 8th December 2018 in Sanya, China where Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
